SCOPE

The scope of the Glide19 platform is to train and support healthcare and social professionals in managing health emergencies. Drawing from the pivotal experiences and lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic, the course delves into 4 pivotal pillars essential for managing pandemics: prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and mental health support.

TARGET

The Glide19 platform is primarily aimed at healthcare and social professionals, including general practitioners, medical specialists, nurses, social workers, psychologists and paramedics. It also extends to health and social organisations and institutions seeking to bolster their pandemic response capabilities through a valuable training programme.

OBJECTIVES

The Glide19 platform aims to equip healthcare and social professionals enhancing their digital skills, combatting misinformation, and improving the patient care. It addresses both the physical and mental health effects of COVID-19 and potentially pandemics viruses and is grounded in the scientific EU-wide literature accessible at the onset of 2024, to improve patient outcomes.

RESULTS

By offering advanced capabilities and multilingual support, users can access project materials efficiently, ensuring inclusive accessibility. Healthcare and social professionals benefit from continuous training, guaranteeing they're equipped with both theoretical insights and practical skills. The platform enhance pandemic response strategies.


About Us

The Glide course represents a pioneering initiative developed by a consortium of European partners under the ERASMUS+ program. The course was developed thanks to a collaborative effort of healthcare professionals hailing from diverse backgrounds, working in one of the four project partners from Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Germany, each offering vital expertise:

  • BRF Foundation (Italy): A leading non-profit focused on advancing psychiatric research and combating mental health stigma.
  • Social IT (Italy): Innovative SME specializing in ICT solutions for social and health care services management, with a focus on EU-funded projects.
  • Maastricht University (Netherlands): Renowned for its multidisciplinary research, particularly in the School for Mental Health and Neurosciences.
  • INTRAS (Spain): Non-profit organization conducting high-quality research and interventions in mental health across multiple provinces.
  • Heidelberg University Hospital (Germany): Leading medical center with expertise in psychosomatic care, particularly relevant for post-COVID mental health challenges.
